Gwen has been involved in the design industry for nearly 40 years. After two years ASID training in Scottsdale, Arizona under the direction of Lou Knack, top Designer, Gwen opened her own design firm “Classic Interiors”. Gwen operated her firm, specializing in Residential and Commercial design for 8 years before moving to Durango Colorado.

 Gwen came to love Colorado through annual family vacations to La Plata Canyon and vowed that someday she would live here.  She and her husband, children and now grandchildren currently reside in Durango and Gwen says that “sometimes dreams really do come true”.

During the 32 years that Gwen has lived in Durango, she has worked designing and building Classic Woodcraft and Cabinetry, a firm that she and her partner owned and operated for five years.  She also worked in tandem with a flooring company and later was retained as a buyer for furniture and accessories for a local retailer while continuing to design for personal clientele.
